"Nation Levitation" is an ongoing collection of stylized hover portraits, exploring the surrealism of each photograph taken. The premise of the project is to create a sense of curiosity towards the subject, more than the action in itself. Inspired by Lacoste's advert campaign in the Summer of 2008, the idea was developed in 2014. Without using photo manipulating software (Photoshop, CC, etc.), subjects are instructed to jump as high as they could, while maintaining a calm facial expression to fully create the illusion of effortlessness.
